Soldier killed in Pakistan Army firing

An Indian Army soldier was killed on Tuesday in firing by the Pakistan Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

Naik Krishan Lal, 34, who belonged to Ghagriyal village in Akhnoor area of Jammu district, was killed after the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district, defence sources said.

“Heavy damage and casualties were caused to Pakistan Army posts and troops in retaliation by the Indian Army,” the sources said.

The soldier is survived by his wife, Shashi Devi.
